Adaptive Spring Unit
An adaptive spring unit comprises a set of pocket springs with a variable pre-tension. It features two motors such that the pre-tension can have values linearly varying from the left side of the unit to the right side. The active area of one unit is 90 cm x 12 cm.
A typical DynaSleep system with adaptive springs consists of a set of 8 adaptive spring modules in the torso and hip zone and is used as a tool for simulating body support for a broad range of sleeping systems. It is used as a measurement tool in R&D centers and in retail environments.
